The Chicago BlingBQ was awesome. Around 30 members from various branches took over Chicago from Humboldt Park to downtown to Montrose Harbor. The Chicago Tribune tailed us the whole way, resulting in a nice write-up about Peddy Cash and the Moped Army in general. Check the photos and don't miss the next chance to swarm Chicago. |

Moped Army BBQ 10 was a milestone for the Moped Army. We had members attend from both coasts and everywhere in between. Representatives showed up from Janus, kHz, Mosquito Fleet, Motion Left, Noviy Lef, Peddy Cash, The Bombardment Society, The Guns and The Tom Cruisers.
During the weekend we had some gigantic rides with extremely few breakdowns. We rode, we raced, and we sat in a hot tub. The rain plagued us but never spoiled our fun.
The cross town race changed a bit this year. The name of the game was elimination, so only the strongest racers made it to the final lap. Along with the photos, two videos of the race are available: Takeoff and Finish. Both require the QuickTime plug-in and are 312K each in size. |

Moped Army BBQ 9 marked the beginning of having the Labor Day BBQs be a toned down event, leaving the huge rally and public accessibility to their Memorial Day counterpart.
We had a great time riding mopeds and avoiding the rain. Thanks to all the out of town members who came out for the weekend. Check out the photos for moped action and rainy park fun. |

BBQ 7 was a blast. Tons of people came out to Kalamazoo this year from all over the country, and even Canada. From our branches, we had represtatives from Janus, and The Bombardment Society.
The plan to start making the BBQs span the whole weekend has began, and this year we had some good rides on Saturday and Sunday. The premiere of the documentary about the Moped Army was also really impressive.
There are also video clips of the race: Video of the Race Takeoff (Quicktime 6, 683K) Video of the Race Winner (Quicktime 6, 738K) Video of the Monster Race Winner (Quicktime 6, 671K) |

This weekend 13 people rode mopeds from Kalamazoo to Coloma to camp on the beach of Lake Michigan. We encountered our share of problems on this 100 mile round-trip, but had a ton of fun.
This is the longest trip with this many people that we've ever made. Check out the photos to see the people who went and their mopeds packed with gear. |

Moped BBQ 6 was bigger and better than ever. This year the event was at a new location, The Space, which is the local show space/coffee shop/art gallery in Kalamazoo.
The new location changed the dynamic of the race, and gave us a lot more space to showcase mopeds and work. Members of The Bombardment Society, Janus and The Blue Shirt Holiday showed up, as well as others from out of town.
There were over 60 mopeds, and over 30 racing – the most ever. It was the best BBQ yet, so be sure to check out the photos. |
