Biggest rip off in moped history

I know I've seen stupid high asking prices on ebay for mopeds but this one takes the crown. If you look closely even the pedal chain is busted on it. Five grand for a Maxi tho???

Re: Biggest rip off in moped history

Ya gotta love getting almost free comedy . ;)

Re: Biggest rip off in moped history

The laugh is on us though if someone buys it, or he "settles" for 2k......a LOT of people out there with more money than sense.

Re: Biggest rip off in moped history

no groms no blasters /

it's only a rip off if you buy it

why are you mad

Re: Biggest rip off in moped history

The housing market is red hot in my town. Every time one of my neighbors moves and sells their house for a crazy price in a heartbeat, my value goes up.

Same applies with mopeds. Every time a moped sells for a stupid price, all 19 of mine become worth a little more. I hope it sells for $5k.

It helps my moped savings account.

All of this is true. My custom magnum will be worth over 6k then! Fingers crossed.

Re: Biggest rip off in moped history

Great. Since a busted up stock Maxi is going for 5k then my kitted polini Maxi in excellent shape should be worth at least 8 grand lol

Overpriced Parts /

These fleesebay people be crazy they don’t look other places, just post any price,

Dummies will get stuck with expensive piece of crap bike after they see what it’s worth on Moped clubs on Facebook, Moped army and especially on KBB It’s just how it is.

Moped’s are never going to be worth tons because there’s limited places to ride them safely with today’s distracted nutcase drivers and or park them safely so they don’t get stolen,

I think giving stuff away, brings more happiness then scalping people for money specially when you can’t trim your bushes because they’re full of bikes, frames and parts

Your contemporary analysis of the available road space and parking security are basically null.

I've owned and daily'ed mopeds in rural CT (45 mile commute) and in NYC proper (20 mile commute). I used to street park my Vespa Ciao for work and it was fine.

As limited use vehicle riders, you can drive wherever a car can drive, minus freeways

Re: Biggest rip off in moped history

5000$ mopeds are inflating the price of OBOs and other wind instruments...

Re: Biggest rip off in moped history

Some people have way too many dollars and not near enough sense . ;)

Re: Biggest rip off in moped history

^ True, but these are the people you want as customers! ;)

Not really . I want customers that know what they want , not what they think they want . Some of those dollar oriented types think they are at least somewhat privileged and always play for more than the bargain , one way or another .

Don't get me wrong . I don't mind a good haggle , but , once the deal is agreed on , don't come looking for more . ;)

People see these rip off fantasy "ASK" prices and value their item accordingly. I only look at completed sales to get an idea of market on something. Everything else is smoke and mirrors.

If someone wants to way overpay for something of mine, I will let them, with a smile! :) I have a lot of neat things, but every one has a price, nothing is cooler than stacks of c-notes, cuz you can get more and different neat things! :D

I think we may be talking about 2 different things .

But , I've always said thank you when someone gives me money . And , some of those times that 'income' was totally out of the blue , not earned or otherwise expected .
