Why not simply install a set screw ?
That mechanism doesn't have to be extremely tight , just not leak .

if that doesn't work, ebay has a bunch of folks in Thailand selling clone carbs direct fit for LB80 If you need a fresh top end for your engine, or plan to keep the thing and want some insurance, I have a nice top end (used but very clean cylinder, brand new piston and rings) for sale
