I paid $500 it has 300 miles on it, original tool kit, all complete minus side panels, super fair price, he also said he had an old Vespa and I asked to see it, We went to the back where he lifted an old tarp and see pic below. if anyone knows anything about these old Vespas please let me know if it’s worth going back to get.

Nice.
Re: Drove 3 hrs in traffic to the armpit of So. Cali for this.....
how much he want for the Vespa?
Re: Drove 3 hrs in traffic to the armpit of So. Cali for this.....
looks like a late 1950s Vespa small frame.
maybe 100cc
10inch wheels, add on pillion seat
kick starter missing?
try to see if the motor is locked up
definitely a project scooter but worth it.
price in the Midwest would be $400 tops
someone wants that.
Re: Drove 3 hrs in traffic to the armpit of So. Cali for this.....
that Moby was a deal
its all there
Re: Drove 3 hrs in traffic to the armpit of So. Cali for this.....
Nice Moby, VLX with the longer seat, a better one imho, don't know anything about the Vespa, but if it is cheap and mostly complete grab it, people pay well for those, there is a market. Keep after the guy, those side covers may turn up!
Re: Drove 3 hrs in traffic to the armpit of So. Cali for this.....
The Vespa is worth a good deal compared to a moped. If he's selling it for moped prices, buy the vespa
Re: Drove 3 hrs in traffic to the armpit of So. Cali for this.....
Looks like he had a decent collection of mopeds, unless that's your house?

Most likely a Veloce 125/150

100% those are 8" wheels.

You wouldn't be able to tell this from the driver side.

$400 minimum price on that. Honestly, the demand for old Vespas is growing if anything.

Where at in California? If you don't want it, I'm interested, depending on where ad how much.
Re: Drove 3 hrs in traffic to the armpit of So. Cali for this.....
Its in Muscoy, in all my life in So. Cali, i never heard of that dusty hell hole till yesterday. The mopeds are mine, the guy wants $500. But if I bring that home it would be lights out for me. If its a Magnum or something I really like not running, I would'nt have a problem taking the heat and listening to the B.S from the girls, but this would be pushing it. Still considering if I could leave it at a friends pad.

Don't . You will be found out and you won't have to worry about any lights , as there will nothing but dust to dispose of . ;)
Re: Drove 3 hrs in traffic to the armpit of So. Cali for this.....
Bro. Next time I am near Huntington beach I am coming to your place for a ride. Seems like you have a couple spare bikes.
Re: Drove 3 hrs in traffic to the armpit of So. Cali for this.....
Nice Moby, the mags are sweet.
Re: Drove 3 hrs in traffic to the armpit of So. Cali for this.....
Very sick moby ;)
Honestly, I love that seat. And you've got the pegs in case someone needs to hop on the back. Looks great!
Re: Drove 3 hrs in traffic to the armpit of So. Cali for this.....
jesus - that moby is gorgeous. where was it posted?
also - that Vespa could be cool.

For sure, Jay!
Re: Drove 3 hrs in traffic to the armpit of So. Cali for this.....
That’s so cool, My Moby has the air pump and the same exact tool kit in the plastic Motobecane bag. Super sick! I did a little mod to the Moby, the handlebars and I painted the mags Drizzle Gray at first, then went to Carbon Black for a day, back to the Drizzle Gray. Anyone in my area I got a couple extra mopes to ride
Re: Drove 3 hrs in traffic to the armpit of So. Cali for this.....
you even has the metal cover over the variation.
what a great looking bike.
change that carb out.
Gurtner sucks
Re: Drove 3 hrs in traffic to the armpit of So. Cali for this.....
I love the Silka frame pump!! Perfect for a contest: if u can actually pump up a moped tire with that pump u win.
