Here's some pretty motor pics.

Ducati made 5500 of these from 61-68. The export ones have 4+ hp, and the non-export ones have like, 2.5 or something. This is the non-export, straight from italy.

They have a rear drum brake operated like a coaster brake by pedaling backwards, but I haven't figured out how that works yet.

Still need a tank and taillight. There's a tank in italy, but I don't wanna spend 250 bucks and wait a month or so for delivery, so I'm just putting everything else together for now.

Looks really similar to the aermacchi Harley m-50 component wise, I wonder if some of that stuff would swap, those seem to pop up pretty often, at least in the Milwaukee area

Looked into that. Some parts are close, but not close enough.

The ducati motor is similar to an early Morini 3M. But the Ducati cylinder has the intake cast into it, and the push me pull me shifting is totally different, as well as the rear brake.

Gotta hook up cables and a chain to figure it all out.

I mentioned it earlier, pedal backwards, some how it pulls the cable for the rear drum. Weird.

Welp, I've pretty much done all I can for now. Found a tank, taillight and headlight lens in Italy, but haven't bought them yet. It's more than I want to spend, and it usually takes at least a month to get stuff shipped here.

I could rig a tank and try to fire it up, but I have a potentially major problem.

The pedals don't engage. They just spin. So I'm gonna have to crack open the motor and figure out what's wrong. Hopefully it's something simple, like a woodruff key. If it's missing a gear or something else is broken, I'm pretty much screwed, because those parts don't exist.

But it's got spark and compression, so I could always push start it.

Anyway, here's where I'm at:

Carb is a dellorto T4-12D1. Basically a 14-12.

Pretty complex for a little guy. Had to soak the whole thing in evaporust to get everything loosened up.

Found out why the pedals don't work. Wonder how hard this stupid thing is gonna be to find
