That's about where I want it. Started on the tank mounts today. Notching some 1 inch tubing and need to go pick up some flat steel for the seat mounts. Seat will sit much lower after a slice the top tube down, right now it's in the way.

Re: Project fauxbra

Yeah it would be sick if you could get the seat down to where the rear rack is. That would give you a nice amount of tank to hug.

Re: Project fauxbra

More modifications, seat needed a little trimming from a little bump now sitting pretty, tank mounts notched and ready for welding. Gonna slice the rack off and run a little fender sticking out to hold a little taillight. Cant wait to rip on this !

Re: Project fauxbra

Rolled the bike to my parents house to get the mounts tacked, tank is as far forward and down still clears lock to lock.

Re: Project fauxbra

Thanks to another member I now have the lower plastics. Looking good, I'll have to hold my breath for the upper triangular ones.

Anybody holding?

Yep, figured the pipe size plus a rubber damper around it to fit the tank mounts snug.
