The 2k thing is kinda slang for catalyzed urethane, I don't really know everything about the tech but basically it's a paint with catalyst in a can where you push a button and pop the internal catalyst and the paint starts to 'set' then you have a certain amount of time to spray it.

Auto paint shops can put custom mixed paint in a rattle can, maybe they can also do the catalyzed urethane too? I dunno. I bought a quart of black back in 2015 for about 60 bucks and my spray gun was 120$ back in 2006, that quart of black has painted like 2 motorcycle and 3 mopeds... Pretty good investment for pro quality results.
