So I've been looking through every picture I could find on the i-nets for 15mm bing intakes (I'm looking for a tall one for Puch Magnum wt ZA50, but also ok with standard e50 height as I can put a riser). Here is the reason for the post - am I wrong to think that if you want to place the carb into it's original location you are pretty much forced to use a highly inefficient "90" degree sharp angle design intake? Are there any that are made that are a smooth curve that allows the air to not go through a sharp "elbow"; basic science would indicate that a lot of velocity/throughput is lost by that sharp angle design...
I've only seen one mlm version that had a dual 45^ design...
Please note- looking for intake that places the carb in its original location (or there about) so the plastics still fit...
Anyone know a reason why the sharp 90 design persist over 40yrs of development... (edited)
