So I got my 1978 batavus regency up and running but it literally has no “pick up” when I hit the throttle but once it gets going it moves nicely. Would a different carb help with that or what would you all suggest? I’ve heard the stock carb is crap. I’m wanting to cross a street with some urgency and get up a hill (not even a big hill) with a little more power. Thanks folks!

Re: Batavus regency carb options
Does that have the m48 or m56? The m48 clutch setup is just abysmal, you'll never get good launch with it

M56

Is there an idle mixing screw on the encarwi carb?
