Re: Because I can. Custom pedal color.

It's the little touches - the red pedal, a purple drive chain, cat ears on a helmet - that help to elevate the consciousness and buoy the spirit. You will probably never know how many smiles you may create and how many hearts you will lighten because people were able to say to a friend or loved one or co-worker, "I saw a guy on a moped today with the coolest bright red pedals." Even if they just go home and tell their cats - it will still bring joy.

Good on you, sir.

wait, are you serious??

Re: Because I can. Custom pedal color.

Mopeds get banged up, it happens, dents and bends add character, and are fine by me as long as they don't create a safety issue. :)

That is a safety issue . The peddle , bent as it is , allows the foot to slip off much quicker than if it were straight . Add high slippage plastic to the mix , with no crosshatching to slow that slippage and someones' shin and or ankle will be paying a painful price .

Then , as a result of that bit of pain , it's very likely the rider will be somewhat less attentive to the fact that they are in charge of a moving vehicle . That's exactly when crash and burns happen . ;)
