Give it up to Baird who got second place with his 1962? Ducati Pluma! It did not look like that when I flipped it to him. That bike is super sick seeing it up close and personal. Congrats.

Good job baird!
Re: Vintage Bike OC Bike of the Month Contest
Beautiful bikes, all. Good going!
Re: Vintage Bike OC Bike of the Month Contest
Thanks!
First place actually went to a 1968 $100,000 Egli Vincent that the guy bought a few months ago. So I don't feel bad about coming in second with a bike I restored myself for under $1000.
Cool show, but my ignition crapped out about three blocks from home. Hopefully nothing serious. Gonna tear into it today and see what's up.
Here's my ugly mug and my bike at the show.
Re: Vintage Bike OC Bike of the Month Contest
Baird - You did a PHENOMENAL job on that bike. It's now a raving beaut. Thank you for including the before shot, too. You're right - "losing" to a Vincent isn't losing. It's a real pleasure to see any vintage anything saved and restored to it's original self. I bet the vote was close - really close. We're all really proud. That's a masterful paint job. Wow. And wow.
Re: Vintage Bike OC Bike of the Month Contest
nice work
Re: Vintage Bike OC Bike of the Month Contest
That is a sweet bike Baird, beautiful restoration! Top marks for riding there, winning second and riding back, do you know if the Vincent was ridden there?
Re: Vintage Bike OC Bike of the Month Contest
Yes, he rode the Vincent.
Funny thing about that Vincent. The "Egli" customs were made in 2006. The only thing Vincent (or vintage) on that bike is the engine cases.
I mean, it's still rad, but...
Re: Vintage Bike OC Bike of the Month Contest
But....to damn right
Re: Vintage Bike OC Bike of the Month Contest
That Vincent was a $100,000?
