You might be less vague on what you are looking for. How many in the family? How old? What do you haul? And on and on. What’s your budget. I mean, come on. And you live in India? Different car brands over there then where 99% of the people are on this site.(edited)

Personally i like smaller hatch backs. Hyundai Elantra or Accent. But might be too small for your family. Great, cheap cars to fix.

Re: Car For Family

My family consists of five members, two adults, one teenager and two children. So, I look for sedan with compact body and a lot of spase inside the cabin. In my opinion, the best choise is Honda City 'cause it has not bad features and large cabin, but there's the one thing that confused me... judging by the description, the diesel engine does not have an automatic transmission. What about the pros and cons of having this car?

We don’t have all the models in the USA

So pick the model that you want and look up ratings

Manual shift is always more fun to drive but you got to know what your doing

Re: Car For Family

I'd buy a car that, if you hit a tiger, doesn't JUST make it mad. Also, if you DO make it mad, your car must definitely be able to outrun it. LOL!

If that’s the case he should buy a large suv that can withstand a run in with/getting stepped on by Indian elephant !

I'd get the Honda Elephant, I mean Element...……….with the primer gray fenders the elephant probably wouldn't stomp all over it's lookalike.LOL!

But normally cars like that suck so much gas you cant afford to drive them.

Re: Car For Family

we bought an accord last new years, it's been flawless. fuck all if it isn't boring as hell but sometimes that's what you need. a simple nice car that works without having to think about it. gets great mileage. mighta rather gone camry hybrid but that's more money and slow to pay it back.

What good is gas mileage,Jimmy, when you're being eaten by a tiger or stomped by an Element? LOL!
