Day 97
Re: Day 97
A classic, leaving behind a legacy that would be impossible to match by any actress today.
Please Don't Eat the Daisies was a staple growing up.
Re: Day 97
Great and beautiful actress.
Re: Day 97
Wonderful singer, she came from/was born in Cincinnati Ohio, for most of her life she though she was born in 1924 but a few years ago found birth certificate said she was born 1922,
RIP,
Good pictures of her when singing first hit song with big band
Re: Day 97
Good post,Ken! With a smile like she had, I imagine she was very nice to be around. She was 4 yrs. younger than my Dad born in 1918. The greatest generation.

Re: Day 97
Race didn't matter then...…………..no one was enlightened `en masse', and the PROBLEM facing the FREE WORLD was defeating Hitler and the Japanese. THEN opposing the Russians in the Cold War...………….undoubtedly the `greatest generation' did this,or you'd be speaking Japanese or German. LOL!.
Re: Day 97
My mother and father had their first date at one of her shows during WW2 and mother would sing her songs all the time.
