yeah abortion is not a conservative issue. neither is trillions in military spending, welfare for big business, increasing police/prison, or funding a ponzi scheme for retirement (social security) or any of the other bullshit that has been championed by the republican party since Ronny Raygun ruined the country the first time. (making it no longer great). "Conservative" has become a brand for a certain kind of backwards nationalism/fascism amalgamated from a bunch of brokeass ideologies exploited by big money interests to control dumb people who have been marginalized after being more or less kicked out of both parties.
ross perot was actually pretty conservative, although he profited quite a bit from government subsidization of his businesses. I'm all for third parties unfortunately he probably did cost the election from one of the most sensible and level headed president in recent times. (Aided in part by the beginnings of the neo-con movement in the form of Newt Gingrich and co.)
