Re: Name that bike!

Well, it's a Honda C70.. Worth 40 bucks to sell parts off of. Get it!

Re: Name that bike!

Passport, totally worth it, slam shift 70cc.

Honda Passport.

Stuff it in a medium flat rate box and send it to me please.

Re: Name that bike!

Thanks a lot guys! I’ll cut it in 4” squares so it’ll be cheaper. Ha!

It’s missing a few parts on the chain side.

Not sure if I should swing a hobbit engine to convert it to chain or find the 4 stroke parts. I have a nice 72cc Parma kit with a new crank, not sure if it’s worth it. The front drum brake is nice.

The kid down the street bought it. I see what u guys mean about it being a good ride. I did some research and passed it along so the kid knows what he’s getting into. Hahaaaaa!

It could be nice with some elbow grease and parts stash. I thought it was a cub 50.

Illuminati confirmed.

Re: Name that bike!

man i pieced one of them together a couple years back here, good news i was able to find/buy all the parts pretty easy, bad news they have a ton of parts... so many parts

at that point i'd either go full rat or just part the thing out or put it on CL for some guy who needs a parts bike.

even though they knockoff the engines super cheap, i still think a nice clean OG honda bottom end is worth more.

Re: Name that bike!

"bad news they have a ton of parts... so many parts"

All those stripped JIS screws, tiny oring seals, gaskets that have to be NOS or they won'r work right, 6V/12V heads, valves, UGH. . very expensive.

People just stick lifan's on them, but even they aren't cheap, and have random quality control.

For being the most common vehicle in the world, ordering parts and paying for them sucks so bad.

I might weld the engine to a hobbit frame soon. :) Thad be fun.

Wet paint!

The kid wants it purple. He’s a good kid in the nayborhood I’d put it together for him. Weld n hack the thing together would be neat so he can have a ride with us. For $40 I’ll make a moped out of a uhhh well it says moped in kbb. Ha

Nice hobbit swap! Is that head gonna clear the front wheel?

A #2 phillips with a bit of the tip ground off works very well on those JIS screws.

Re: Name that bike!

Hah, have that exact bike....always wished it had more than 3 gears tho....it could use a 4th

Re: Name that bike!

It clears by 1/2” hahaa, rubbing is racing!

Honda Assport has a ring to it. ;) the forks are weird and tricky stamped steel compared to moped forks. I have a few ideaRs but it’ll easiest to laminate the tubes together.

Re: Name that bike!

Long Live the Assport! My favorite bastardization of them all. +1 if it's actually faster than a real passport.

Re: Name that bike!

Ana L. of the Aurora Roras /

Hahaa, I found a stash of stock hobbit stuff to help disguise it more. Fenders, seat, plastics,

Working on fitting the forks still :/

The nayborhood kid likes this black scheme ideaR but with a purple Hobbit frame, triple top and book rack. I told them to run up autozone and get some engine enamel. i could paint the shit while waiting for his C70 engine parts.

Don’t want it to go to waste!

The fender piece is cut off the frame and refitted to the Assport tHrobbit

It’ll be bolted on when I get it together. Cool!

Erased some more yellow and got the stock hobbit long seat fitting. Filled in the frame fender joint to blend it in.

Re: Name that bike!

The kid won’t come over so I rattlecanned the bike. He’ll see it next time and get a plan together to finish it. Until then I’ll have it under cover and out of the way. Good for him.

Re: Name that bike!

Nice, foot pegs seem kind of far back?

Re: Name that bike!

Ana L. of the Aurora Roras /

That was from the passport long seat. There’s a piece missing kickstand/footpegs bracket I’m guessing,, that bolts to the bottom of the engine like a puch. It has to have it for foot placement while shifting and rear foot brake. I showed home the headlight and bezel on ebay so he’s saving up,
