Anybody ever rebuilt a Nikki carb for an rx7?

Just finished a clutch and transmission install, but gas was sitting in this carb for 8 years and I need to rebuild it. Looks a lot more complex than a 2 stroke carb, but I think I can give it a shot before either switching to a Weber or Holley setup. Here’s a pic of the old clutch and new clutch, it was so bad I thought the transmission was blown

I'd go Webber, used them on VW's. Easy enough to work on.

A weber 32/36 should work great on it and so easy to tune.

The 45dcoe is what people tend to run on stock setups

Yeah, 32/36 definitely the way I’m going. With an Offenhauser intake🤘🏼

Re: Anybody ever rebuilt a Nikki carb for an rx7?

I still have a few 32/36 sitting around somewhere and I have a adapter or two, somewhere.

Got a Weber on my 1982 straight axle yota and it’s the jam. Just need to finish up a few vacuum Line routing and I’ll be ready to get her smog’d cause California.. it’s cool tho, An even trade to be able to split lanes ;)
