johnny nash just passed. saw kool and the gang in 75. pretty sure i was the only white kid there. one of the best shows i saw in the early 70's was wild cherry, opening for earth wind, and fire opening for ohio players. that was one fun ass show, trippin on strawberry mescaline, and pretty sure again, the only white kid there...

i was lucky, and lived walking distance from hara arena, a premier concert venue of the 60's - 90's in my area. one of my closest friends mom was a ticket taker for all those years. i saw hundreds of free shows, and every show had one or two openers of up, and coming great bands.
