I don't know why, but I'm super stoked to enter my car in this.

I might enter a crusty shit box moped too. The event is like a mile from my house

I built this car for the Chop Top Challenge, a cross country (Chicago to Austin TX one year, Chicago to NOLA another, Chicago to Key West cancelled due to covid) photo scavenger hunt in March.

IT IS FUCKING MISERABLE (but also so much fun)

Re: Concours d'Lemons

I've thought about entering Le mons, too, but too many other projects going on.

The race itself can get stupid expensive with all of the regulations and stuff so I haven't run it. That along with the Gambler are bucket list adventures for sure.

Yeah, I talked to those guys about it last year. The Dcons have a couple guys that run the MI Gambler too. I was trying to get the Zeros to run a car in the Chop Top Challenge. It's crazy how many moped people have moved to CTC. The event organizer is a retired Bandit, a couple former Peddy Cash guys ran a car last year, Dcons have 2, Bengry (retired Gun) had a car 3 years ago.

Re: Concours d'Lemons

I remember bengry's CTC, what a wonderful guy

Re: Concours d'Lemons

What is that cage from, A jeep? ugly but it works.

Bengry's Jeep now belongs to Jason Wadoski (former Bandit) and has had some kick ass mods. I rode with team JeepJeep my first time around. Great people.

The cage is in fact from a CJ7. I snagged the roll cage from a guy on FB marketplace for $50. It was brand new. It took the slightest modification to fit and it truly is ugly as hell, but the price was right.
