Re: Fs: 1980 Puch magnum 2

Thats what my psychiatrist told me haha but seriously its a Puch in decent shape. And its a Magnum top tank. Definately worth the 750 that I offered him. Only problem I can forsee is the potential cost to ship it. He might just laugh and say no way or he might say ok. Can't hurt to ask, right? Them Puchs are a challenge to find lately. I've been checking on here, Craigslist, and Offerup on the daily trying to find one. The few I found online so far already sold so I'll keep looking til I find one

Re: Fs: 1980 Puch magnum 2

I don't have a car otherwise I'd be heading down I-71 from Cleveland already

When the letgo app first came out a few years back I drove to Connecticut from Indiana to lay my hands on this cherry for $250. Yeah I had a little over $200 in fuel and 26 hours drive time round trip. It wasnt just the price but also the condition. Honestly the selection is not getting any better as time passes.

Find a way or risk settling for less later.

No I wont sell mine.

Re: Fs: 1980 Puch magnum 2

And $800 ain't a bad price on this one considering what I went through.

Mr. Peffer is 43 yrs old, but has no way to get any vehicle from anyone? Do you have friends or relatives that has transportation?

Try this:

or this..

https://www.avis.com/en/offers/us-offers/best-price-pledge ?

or even this....

$0 tolls.

Was on my day(s) off from work.

Couple cables, tail light and shift pucks.

I have yet to see one in better condition for less.

Yes I wanted a top of the line Puch and am very happy with it. Nothing else compares to the build quality.

Re: Fs: 1980 Puch magnum 2

These were top of the line mopeds in the day that sold for over $1000 new while most others sold for $500-600 or less

I drove 2.5 hrs one way once but that was for 3 bikes and few times I’d go with my friend in his truck and trailer get a dozen or more mopeds/small bikes for a 2-3hr trip one way and we would split costs of the bikes and gas,

I’d keep mostly the puch bikes sometimes a tomos and Italian bike so many times I’d get 3 good bikes with a few parts bikes for 125-150$

My rule was around a one hr drive but not now I don’t really even look for bikes or parts anymore because I’d sell for a reasonable price and many people now buy to flip,

I’m not gonna work restoring something or taking time to remove and clean up parts for sale just to have someone flip/realist my stuff a few days later for more money,

Re: Fs: 1980 Puch magnum 2

Once I do end up getting a Puch, there ain't no way I'm gonna sell it. I'm gonna keep it and enjoy riding the bike

Re: Fs: 1980 Puch magnum 2

Ive delivered mopeds in the past and might be able to deliver this one depending on the buyers location. I'm back and forth between Louisville and central Indiana. I have more than one proper carrier with tie downs and soft ties.

The moped would need to be paid for first of course and I would need to be compensated for my time and gas upon delivery (cash or PayPal)

I drove to Jersey last fall to meet Moped Lar. I bought one for myself and transported one to Downtown Washington D.C while the trike was dropped off In Columbus Oh. on my way home. By delivering two other machines I was able to offset my costs and help other buyers and the seller out.

Something to thing about. (edited)

Re: Fs: 1980 Puch magnum 2

I could do Paypal for delivery. Still looking for a Puch for sale closer to Cleveland. After July 23 I'll have cash on hand for delivery. I'll keep you in mind and thank you for offering. If I can find a Puch closer between now and then I'll send you a pm

Looks good. But you know as well as I do, thats its not the norm to find one at that price much less that condition.

I have yet to see one for sale in better condition at a comparable cost to mine since I made my purchase.

Cost= time, money, gas (edited)
