Nice hard bags.
Ummm...
Those look like 17s.
If those are in fact 17 inch spoked wheels, they are very rare and only came on 2 speed Garellis. (edited)
Huh. “Barn find”. Hadn’t been running for 30 years. Fixed it up and can’t find a use for it. Not a collector. What does “rare” mean. Like valuable or like “you’ll never replace those tires”.
Look, 2 speeds are rare.
VIP motors are somewhat rare.
Those Garelli hard bags are rare.
17" spoked wheels are rare from Garelli.
Rare means not many were made to begin with and not many survived.
And if in fact that is a 2 speed you have it will have a 52 tooth rear sprocket. (edited)
Ive read and researched quite a bit on Garellis. I have six of them. NEVER have I ever seen hard bags. Unless it was in their accessories catalog and ive forgot.
Those are Garelli trade marks on those bags.
Yeah. I looked at a accessory catalog and they weren’t there either. But they look original
And with that said, its likely someone will try to buy the bike for the bags and remove them to sell the bike later without the bags. (edited)
Very helpful thanks
So,
humor me and go look at the tires.
Are they 17"?
What's the first 7 digits of vin number on id tag? I will look it up on chart. (edited)
Your vin code should start with "SA", "UT" or "UV"
and one more thing those injectors are very inaccurate. I use mine to pump oil into measuring cup then premix in tank.

The sprocket information is inaccurate: two-speed SSXLS Came with a 52 rear, but not two-speed VIPs - the internal gearing of the engine was a bit different than an NOI. I believe the rear on my two speed vip is closer to 36 or 38. The Gulp, the precursor to the VIP came with 16” wheels. The VIPs, to my knowledge, all had 17s.
