is there anything that looks like that or tomos or anything?!!? lol i just want a nice looking moped for montreal next summer

Re: new gas moped in canada please?

Go on Facebook cyclomoteur Montréal and other Quebec based Facebook motorcycle and moped groups. They're selling all the time.

Good luck

Re: new gas moped in canada please?

You want a Tomos. You don't want a post 2008 Tomos. New does not mean good in mopeds.

does tomes make a 50cc moped? I don't want a motorcycle license, just a regular license and slow moped

i'm 255lbs, 6' tall is that ok? i dont wanna go fast but at leat 30km/hour if possible

Re: new gas moped in canada please?

You would be fine. The problem with the bike you posted it it's a horrible Chinese clone bike with horrible reliability.

Look for a pre 2007 tomos. A Puch maxi (sold under bombardier in canada), Vespa/piaggio ciao/bravo/grande, any bike with a minerelli v1 engine. And if you can find one in fully working order a motobecane mobylette or peugeot 103.

All of these bikes are infinity better than what you posted. And can be had for similar money's.

Just an FYI: Tomos is not producing new mopeds for sale. If you are trying to buy a brand new moped, you'll need to look at scoots instead.

The A55 is okay, it's just that Tomos started moving production around and transmission and electrical problems arose with certain years. A35's on the other hand were generally alright.

Re: new gas moped in canada please?

You should prob just get a electric mobility scooter or a golf cart

In 2008, Tomos was purchased from local Slovenian owners by manufacturing company Hidra, who out-sourced many of the previously Slovenian- and Italian-made parts to Indian manufacturers. This saw a decrease in the quality and reliability, but overall the A55 is a good motor and you shouldn't shy away from these bikes.

You'll see the Hidra Manufacturing logo on the headtube stickers.
