Pair of project folding mopeds for sale in NW Ohio

I've got a pair of Folding Mopeds for sale. I've given up on getting these things back together. One is a Doniselli, the other is a Gloria Intramotor Mini Kid. The handlebars come off, the seat comes off, and the bike folds in the middle.I've bought an assortment of parts and gaskets to get them going again.

Included are a total of 5 Morini motors. 2 are the M02 variant, and 3 are the M01. One M01 runs and one M02 runs. There are a couple of pieces that are included that aren't pictured, most notably the side panels for the blue bike. I'd like to get $1100 out of them.

Would you consider a separate side sale of just the running M02? (easy to ship)

Re: Pair of project folding mopeds for sale in NW Ohio

Hmm, I will keep it in mind. It took me several years to find running motors for these.

Re: Pair of project folding mopeds for sale in NW Ohio

It's not hard to make a Morini run, it's not a Jawa lol

Re: Pair of project folding mopeds for sale in NW Ohio

The blue one looks to have its front fender on backwards.....

FYI people the Fratelli Doniselli one is a circa 1971 and is VERY rare, about 10X rarer than the later Intramotor for you collector folks.

and WARNING they are scary as shit at 50mph on 9" wheels (Kitted M02, 15.15, EV turbo, upgear etc)

Re: Pair of project folding mopeds for sale in NW Ohio

I hate to be that guy but as they sit you're looking at $400-500 for both of them if you're lucky. Put them together and you can maybe get $600 each.

Re: Pair of project folding mopeds for sale in NW Ohio

Yep, it was a dumb move on my part to piss money away on them.

Re: Pair of project folding mopeds for sale in NW Ohio

Tri-ped Dave, your collection is awesome! Looks like my dream right there.

I don't know, sometimes it's fun just to know you have something fun/odd, and you always have something to do. Do a little here, a little there, just have fun with them.

Re: Pair of project folding mopeds for sale in NW Ohio

Looks like your almost there to be able to sell running bikes. Why are you selling when your almost done?

Re: Pair of project folding mopeds for sale in NW Ohio

I woke up one morning the other day and realized it was time to part ways with them. Main reason I wanted them was to haul with me on my boat when I go to different destinations. I bought folding bikes this summer and realized it was easier to just peddle as opposed to working on these, hauling them on and off the boat, ect.

Re: Pair of project folding mopeds for sale in NW Ohio

Yes, if you have 2 running motors, I would put the M01 with M0 Gyromat engine covers (if you have) on the Doniselli (that is what they had originally) and the M02 on the Intramotor because of the rear shocks making it more stable at higher speed. Running you may realize your price goal, and you can sell spare Morini motors separately very easily if you come up short.

Keep me in mind for the M02 (running or non running). I like to keep spare clutch and starter clutch parts on hand, so it is only the transmission that needs to be ok.

For anyone out there looking for one of these bikes that is ready to run, here is a clean example out in LA.

I know the prices in Cali are out of control, but $1950 for a Minikid? Sorry never gonna happen in my lifetime

Re: Pair of project folding mopeds for sale in NW Ohio

Agreed, a bike that clean is probably only worth about $1100

especially one that does maybe 24mph

Re: Pair of project folding mopeds for sale in NW Ohio

Honestly I'm flexible on price, I'm open to offers. I want to get these things gone.

Re: Pair of project folding mopeds for sale in NW Ohio
