Wow who would’ve thought a seized e50:engine that possibly very little is good inside would go for this kind of money when just a few years ago they’re going 50 to 75 bucks shipped for a good shape one,
Keep printing money Ya DF congress and $ USD going to be worthless

Right, little known fact is that intellectuals use the prices related to this extremely niche hobby that is mopeds as THE measure for determining inflation in an economy. As Ken points out, we're going the way of Zimbabwe
Hense the reason I talked about Bitcoin.
It’s called Covid
Everyone is off of working and playing like a “kid”
Give two year prices will flatten again except a lot of the cases are going to be destroyed ( bad case match)
The motorcycle parts business is fucking crazy right now
I think that's a fair price. Complete motors were selling for this a couple years ago too. I'd bet its perfectly fine after a little oil is dumped in it.

It depends what is behind door number one ( magneto cover) and door number two (clutch cover)

Yup. Gotta watch out for open holes and water lines on the outside. I paid this price for a rebuilt bottom end last year.
Im sure someone's going to sell an seized e50 for less and someone's going to sell one for more.....
If you think this is gawk worthy then I can only imagine what your thoughts are on selling $400 AF16 motors not even confirmed running
Scooter community goes crazy over those af16 motors.
I paid $100 for some E50 cases... no topend, clutch, stator, etc. Only the cases with a crank. I needed them for a build, he had them, so I paid him. Plus, most of it was going to be replaced and upgraded anyways.
I also recently bought a $25 crusty pile-o-junk murray and got a good e50 from it. It all balances out.

Can I just say I call bullshit on complete motors w/shipping included having gone consistently for $50 (read $0-$20 after shipping) a few years ago?
i like many of you have seen the sale of + bought & sold myself countless e50s since i was a teen (i'm old now)... sure i've had my share of outlier free/dirt cheap scores myself too... but... not counting bottom end sales (where people took off the top end and fully stuffed large flat rates that bulged and risked being returned to sender/being rejected at the PO), whole motors could cost $30-50+ just to ship even before the rates went way up... esp if including stands and good packaging and going coast to coast
obviously you've made it your mission to attempt to keep prices cheap... feeling like you need to share your views on every thread you can (with arguments that i tend to disagree with personally: irrelevant kelly blue book dealer values , prices with markers set in areas where average household income is a fraction of major metro areas, assumptions that others share your aesthetics regarding modifications) but... are you really trying to say that good condition complete motors sold consistently just a few years ago for $0-$10 [once shipping was paid for]?
Anyways at $130 shipped it was a good deal fr both sides

Haha as-long as we stay in debt to chine, the dollar is worth something because they are willing to expect it to pay off our debt to them. 😂
Chine accepts our money & gives it credit, then all the small countries just have to play along.
Edit: imagine if chine askin for something else like gold or some kind of consumable like gasoline to pay the debt off (edited)
