i remove all the coils from around it, then use a ball joint separator/puller.
if you go in this set and scroll down they are calling it 'small c-shape puller' - you can borrow it from an auto parts store but they are cheap to buy. they also work for hobbit points cam.

get the puller snug, then give the end of the puller a sharp tap with a metal hammer. usually that little shock is enough to pop it loose, you don't want to go reefing it down too tight or you'll mushroom out the threads.
