Right. So I ripped the OG gasket like a dumbass a while ago (I now know how to open it properly). Ordered a new one on treats that claims to be the same thickness, put everything back correctly (I think - I realize now I should have been more careful. I was in there trying to get the bits of my crumbled stopper out which now I WISH for fucks sake I just left alone) and a few weeks later the smaller bearing busted through the clutch side cover. Likely related but maybe not? The retaining nut wouldn't tread back on the shaft and the rollers were all loose when I opened it. So figured there was too much play, maybe from the new gasket or something else I messed up.
So now that I've replaced all the damaged parts (mainshaft, retaining nut, rollers, bearing, cover, plus the pucks), want to make sure I get it back correctly so it won't happen again? It looks like I have all the washers and shims in the diagram, but if I need to add more I'll have to get those, just not sure what size yet.
Anyways, long response not really directly connected to my original question but that's where I'm at. I'm learning a lot as I go, trying to challenge myself to get this figured out and fixed so I can get back on the road.
