Year 2000 kinetic tfr carb removel.

I need help how to take off my carb on my 2000 tfr kinetic moped since it's in the back,, the only thing i can think of is take the motor off to get the carb off? Anyone have 1 of these sucker's and that can help me out please ? I have carb running issues,, only runs good when chokes on when u take choke of runs good full throttle for like 5 seconds then dies. I can't even get the air breather off. to get the carb off and i have the moped body off the frame now but the motor is still mounted to the frame.

Do i have to take the motor off to get the carb off?

Re: Year 2000 kinetic tfr carb removel.

I've never seen a Kinetic in my life, but looking at pictures i'm guessing yes.

Shouldn't be that much of a problem though, it's just mopeds.

No the carb can be removed with the engine bolted to the sub frame

Re: Year 2000 kinetic tfr carb removel.

You need to remove the air filter first, then with a 8mm wrench loosen the bolt that holds the carb to the engine. It’s been a while since I still had the stock kinetic sub, but I think you may need to loosen the fuel hose port to get the carb off.

How do u remove it on the frame guy's?

Did you remove the side covers?

Re: Year 2000 kinetic tfr carb removel.

Yes joe i have done everything. I have had over 300 mopeds but never 1 like this and it's got me stumped.

You can see the bolt you want to loosen in this pic, I think I used a 8mm nut driver to loosen mine. Through the access hole that the lower arrow is pointing to.(edited)

Re: Year 2000 kinetic tfr carb removel.

I got all that off and the carb will not slide back far enough to get the air breather off, everything is lose,, i don't get it. Carb moves around fine and the air breathers lose moving around also just cant get that dam breather off then the carb will come right out.

Re: Year 2000 kinetic tfr carb removel.

You can loosen the 3 engine bolts, and the exhaust bolt back by the shocks and slide the engine forward about an inch. That may get you the space. I removed the air box first, then loosen and remove the carb.

Re: Year 2000 kinetic tfr carb removel.

Thanks man but do i have to loosen the drive belt first to get the tention off of the motor?

Re: Year 2000 kinetic tfr carb removel.

Yeah you will need to pull the belt before sliding the engine forward, but once you loosen those bolts the engine should slide back enough to get the belt off of the pulleys. Then slide it forward to remove the carb. I don’t remember having to move the engine to get the carb off but maybe my belt was longer.

Ok thank's man. I wish u guys had more pics for me how to do it all ,,, lol or a video.
