I'm going thru me E50 and I don't see anywhere to split the case, every air cooled engine i've ever worked on has a pry point but just cant find one on this. Someone has been into it before me and used RTV on the case. Any help would be great.

I'm just messing. it was early and still waiting for coffee to kick in so made a funny.
I was gonna suggest a site for a new magnetron . LOL
Use a brass mallet and tap on the ends of the now exposed shafts eg: crankshaft, output shaft etc.
I use heat gun, heat evenly all the way around
If you put to much pressure in one area the cases will bow.
start at the rear and they will come apart without bowing.

Haha yea your supposed to use gasket maker. They don’t not sell a case gasket like the Za50. Rubber mallet and a heat gun that usual over kill
13 screws. 1 sort of hidden. Make sure they're all out.
Will you buy bowed cases for a E50.
I have a set for you, if you want to buy them. I didn't take these apart, got them in lot sale.

I'm good with what I got.

This is it! Do this it takes 2 seconds. No need to heat the cases or wack the main output shaft or crank ya sillys.
Or you can give a light tap on the screws when the screws are still threaded in. They only thread into the top half of the case so as long as all the screws are loose, the cases are free to separate.
Split 2 cases just last night using this method
