Tomos main drive gear

Anyone ever run a tomos with just the one needle bearing in the main drive gear?

Cheers

It will either eggbeater the pedals or just grind and grate the kick start sprag collar/pedal shaft

Get a whole preferably newer main drive gear not replaceable without expensive tools or a vast amount of labor

Cheers for the response. Since typing the original post I managed to get the bastard bearing out :) I thought that I had done this already ages ago but whenever I'd press a new bearing inside it would squash and warp so ended up just giving up and using my old drive gear with worn side teeth so I could only start the bike but not pedal. turns out the cage of the needle bearing was still in there. Very happy now ordered a new bearing so I'll soon be able to pedal again.

There should be an O ring between the 2 needle bearings, without it you will leak transmission oil badly from the lefts side pedal shaft.
