check that the seal around the float bowl isn't leaking also. I've had a number of clones leak because the float bowl gasket bulges or cracks. also float height may be off. you can check seal on the float easily by removing the carb from the bike, take the float bowl off. put a clean fuel line on the carb and holding the carb upside down (so the float's weight is pushing it closed) try blowing into the fuel line. should be completely blocked and the float should be siting nice and horizontal. parallel with the carb. you can lift the float by hand while blowing on it and very directly observe if and when the flow is blocked, and this can be a great way to identify and troubleshoot carb leaks. If it all seems totally fie but still leaks, it's almost definitely the gasket. or leaking around one of the connects
