I have a 78 puch maxi and I installed a euro moped headlight from Treatland, looks nice but when I turn it off the bike acts weird and has a big loss of power in the moped.
Loss of Power?
Re: Loss of Power?
Run original 6wire Stator (with air gap set to specs) and original wiring, use original 21w puch headlight, .5 w speedo bulb, 10w brake-light bulb, 5w tail light bulb and have no problems,
I got bikes that are 40 years old with original 6 wire wiring and most have original bulbs and all the lights work perfect
Re: Loss of Power?
Where do you get your stator? I can’t find original 6 wire.
Re: Loss of Power?
if it runs good w it on...then just leave it on, safer.

^ THIS!!!! DON'T turn off that light when riding. Your best chance for being spotted by a cager driver is you're headlight and taillight and what you wear.
