tomos bogs after braking

ben henderson /

Overall my tomos a55 is running well. But lately it has started to bog when I try to leave from a stop. Most noticable after a long stretch of WOT. If you just try to go WOT from a stop it bogs, can stall if you dont let up. Accelerate slowly and it will clear up and run fine again.

is this more likely a lack of fuel...or too much fuel?* Moved to this forum by simon

Check for poor fuel flow. Bowl may be going dry and giving a lean bog. Also next time sit for a bit longer at the stop then try and see if it is better.

Also with an A55 check the air box. They tend to load up with oil! You may have to take It think off and clean it with carburetor cleaner.

Gas cap clogging.

OR if it's kitted the pilot jet needs adjusting. You might have a small airleak on the statorside or if it smokes on the trannyside.

Re: tomos bogs after braking

Also just try cleaning your carb since tiny dirt particles bounce around and lodge in the jet
