!!! HELP !!! 2009 Tomos A55 Streetmate R Bogging down when any throttle

Hey guys.

I'm in dire need of help. I have a 2009 StreetMate R with an A55

moped is bone stock. I'm all of a sudden having an issue with it bogging down

when I give it any throttle.

It will fire right up on the first kick and idle just fine.

But when I give it any throttle,It bogg down, and sometimes will even stall out.

So far... I have checked for air leaks on the Carburetor....nothing... even replaced the carburetor with a brand new one

-Intake and airbox.... Nothing

I have even checked the Head... None that I'm aware of.

I have check for clogged fuel lines and even replaced the filter...

Note: I do have a minor exhaust leak due to one of the studs breaking off. I only have 1 stud holding the exhaust pipe to the head. I did in fact tighten the remaining stud down ever so slightly..... I'm wondering "IF" when I slightly tighten the one remaining stud. Maybe that is causing the issue?

And yes it got WAY louder and made the exhaust leak worse.

Maybe blown a seal?

I'm at a total loss. Please any help would be great, before I start spending a lot of money trying to chase this down.

Hey,

Check out this thread: https://mopedarmy.com/forums/read.php?6,4234027

Sometimes Tomos flywheels like to eat the woodruff key on the crank and the timing goes out of whack.

Grab a flywheel puller if you don't have one and check the inside surface, compare it to the pictures in the thread I linked, maybe you have the same thing going on.

If you go this route you might want one of these too, especially if this ends up being the problem, you'll need something to hold the flywheel while tightening it back up after lapping:

For one thing, you didn't say you replaced the spark plug.

When you put the new carb on, what jet did it have in it? Was it the same number as your old carb?

Take the head off and check the cyl and make sure to use a new gasket cyl. to block.

Also make sure the intake gasket is good.

Check oil injection if you're using it instead of pre-mixing.

Not likely but clogged muffler can stop acceleration.
