No Spark

Had spark and the bike started and ran but then just died with no spark. Snap decision HT coil, changed out for a good one and still no spark, my thought is its the condenser? can you test them without removing them?

This is on a 78 stock puch that I'm having the spark trouble with.

Re: No Spark

SOME BIKES lose spark when a taillight bulb or brakelight bulb burn out. Not kidding!

Re: No Spark

I don't think your tail light/brake light is the issue, I could be mistaken but I don't think the coil grounds through it on your bike. Have you filled the points?

Re: No Spark

New tail light, the real question is do I need to remove condenser to check it with my multimeter?

Re: No Spark

Moped Lar (OFMC) /

Clean points and check gap.

Re: No Spark

that was the ticket, started right up.

fouled spark plug/wet spark plug....is that too big of jet?

running a tecno pipe and everything is stock

#68 jet is in it

Re: No Spark

if you have a 14 bing 68 not toooo big, but a fouled plug...might be float height, leaky float needle, sticky float, sticky choke.

Re: No Spark

Check the points. And make sure you are grounded to the scooter properly.
