Vespa grande drive belt not turning

Posted this in the wrong forum on accident, figure I'll post it in the correct one.

Hey everyone, new to the moped scene with my vespa grande. I just replaced the rear brakes and after placing everything back, I discovered the rear clutch doesn't want to spin the drive belt. The bell will spin just fine but that's it. It's not in bicycle mode or anything. Any ideas what can be causing this? It was working fine before I pulled it apart.

Not a good video Nat, but is it in the pulley, bud?

Re: Vespa grande drive belt not turning

It might be... Is something supposed to go in that slit in the input shaft?

Josiah Radebaugh /

Take off the rear cluth bell, check that the starter clutch pads are in the right direction. If that's not the issue, clean em real good. If that doesn't work, then take off the starter cluth springs.

Yes, a woodruff key.
