rig up petcock suggestions

Nathan Kuebelbeck /

the pet on my free spirit came without a lever to turn it on/off/reserve. currently using a plyers and it's kinda annoying. eventually i'll get it replaced.

the hole doesn't go thru. wondering how I could rig up something to work till i get it replaced.

possibly drill thru. use a bolt n nut or maybe dowel/nail(think axe style), could try some epoxy and not drill thru.

open to suggestions.

thanks

Re: rig up petcock suggestions

Yeah, those holes are threaded, so find something to screw in the hole.

Re: rig up petcock suggestions

Seeing as the petcock could perhaps save you from peril if you get a profuse fuel leak onto a hot motor you may want to consider purchasing a replacement rather than screwing around with a crapped out original. It not an expensive item.

Def on my next treats order. This is a stop gap and better than carrying around a plyers
