Vespa Variator Won't Budge!

I'm not getting any action out of my variation and can't figure out what's wrong. I'm running a Malossi Variator (all six weights) with a Euro 100mm clutch and AX39 belt. The engine is at the stock position and the belt doesn't seem to be too loose or too tight. Even at full throttle there is NO variation happening. Any ideas?

Re: Vespa Variator Won't Budge!

Super heavy weight maybe? Is it jammed or stuck? Sometimes the brass can get worn or scorn internally so make sure every moves by hand.

Re: Vespa Variator Won't Budge!

Are you using the yellow contra spring?

Re: Vespa Variator Won't Budge!

super contra spring? put a weak one in.

Re: Vespa Variator Won't Budge!

Yeah, I have the yellow one on there. I'm surprised because I thought it would work well with the contra spring it came with.

Re: Vespa Variator Won't Budge!

Yeah, heavy weights might be the trick. I know it's free because I took the belt off and variator moves in and out just fine.

Re: Vespa Variator Won't Budge!

I never had any luck with the yellow spring, that spring is stiff. I’m running the silver/white polini spring in my bikes. Its a little stiffer than stock but not too stiff to variate.(edited)
