Biturbo packing question??

Is it best to put up with loud exhaust and upjet? Or run airbox silencer packing and hotter temps???

Re: Biturbo packing question??

60's? I'd say its always a good idea to wear ear plugs if yer bikes even a little loud.(edited)

Re: Biturbo packing question??

The biturbo has a straight-through perforated tube type baffle. This type gives you the least amount of restriction and provides a small amount of noise reduction. Replace the packing and replace the baffle rivets if they start to get loose.

Re: Biturbo packing question??

So you are saying i should run it with the baffle full of PACKING?

Saved my life/or having an accident other day when some idiot lady in a SUV looking at her phone didn’t even realize I was in the next lane next to her as she changed lanes while weaving, not signaling until she heard my bike, I had a few words to say to her at the shopping center we both went to and she agreed she was totally in the wrong especially when phone in hand or texting is illegal, as well as taking up two lanes and not signaling,

Hopefully sometime soon aftermarket Moped parts sellers will start selling bike mounted RPG launchers

Re: Biturbo packing question??

Knuckleheaded cagers! Stupidity at its finest! Ride like yer invisible, Mopeders! Because you mainly are.

Re: Biturbo packing question??

Am I a dumdum? Because in 20 years of mopeds I have never heard of airbox silencer packing as you call it. What exactly are you talking about?

And yes, the exhaust baffle is full of fiberglass packing from the factory.

Re: Biturbo packing question??

Maybe he means foam in the airbox, like Tomos has.

Re: Biturbo packing question??

Sorry bud i should have explained! Silencer packing is what motocross riders call it. Im from a family of racers dating back to the early 70s.

Re: Biturbo packing question??

Ei meant to put a period. A. After airbox. As in should i have the airbox. And baffle packing on the ped.

agreed. i have better things to do than overkill on holding some packing in place for the 10s it takes to put it back together.

LOL .

Re: Biturbo packing question??

im guessing u have biturbo on a stock tomos.

stock airbox = quieter, smaller jet, better gas mileage

packing or not in baffle= louder, no improvement in speed, no change in head temperature

hard to raise stock head temps above 300.

Re: Biturbo packing question??

Should i have a stock pipe on a stock tomos???
