64' av88 brake pads.

Does anybody know what size brake pads go in a 64' Riverside (Motobecane AV88) ? I' not sure how to measure them. The original pads have a "90" stamped on them (sounds like a clue right?).

Re: 64' av88 brake pads.

Measure the diameter of your brake drum and the width of the shoe - in mm. Likely they are 100mm "Prior" or "Ideal" or "Leleu" brakes front and back, but measure to make sure.

Re: 64' av88 brake pads.

They are "Ideal", I guess the "90" on the pads is pad diameter? They are also 25mm thick.(edited)

Maybe you mean wide instead of thick .

They are likely only 5 - 6mm thick . ;)

Re: 64' av88 brake pads.

Measuring is usually more accurate than guessing

Re: 64' av88 brake pads.

correct, 25m wide, the inner hub is 90mm diam.

Re: 64' av88 brake pads.

The closest I seem to be able to find are 90 x 20, do you think those will work?

Re: 64' av88 brake pads.

I have never seen 90x25, so might as well go for a bit less braking power with 90x20 if that is what you have measured...

Re: 64' av88 brake pads.

I've looked pretty hard for them already, seems 90x20 is the closest I'll find.
