Liquid gasket for decompression valve

I've got my hands on some Curil liquid gasket. I applied it to my decompression valve, slowly turned it around for a couple of minutes, but it's still leaking. Will Curil even work? If so, how much should i apply, and what should i do with it?

Re: Liquid gasket for decompression valve

You need to use valve grinding compound, or lapping compound. Apply to the valve & spin it with a drill.

Liquid gasket probably has a purpose somewhere, but not mopeds. Unless it’s Copper Seal on a copper head gasket.

There are multiple, numerous, unimaginable places where u can have an air leak.

I know for a fact it's the decompression valve.

Just fix the valve, it takes very few tools, one consumable product, and a small amount of time.

In the time it took to make these multiple posts, you could have properly corrected this issue instead of trying to incorrectly band-aid it

It is imperative to remove all traces of lapping compound when finished. Most are a water based abrasive btw.

Re: Liquid gasket for decompression valve

Do you need to decompress valve?

Just plug it up with an Allen head and some lock tie
