Pick up this jawa cheap and the issue is that when you pedal it just spins freely like there’s no chain on it. If I spin the tire the chains move. I was wondering about the side knob that engages moped to bicycle is no good ?

thankfully my knob still works. for one position you twist and pull towards you then for the other position you twist the other way and push down. I got the same bike. I am thinking of switching to the 210 motor soon.

it may be repairable, you may also be able to force it engaged with some tools workin inside the shaft.

I saw that for sale.... cleanest one I think I ever saw... I’m surprised that’s what’s wrong with it ive seen way worse bikes and that’s usually a non issue

Well I played around with it and I can get it to engage but it’s very touchy. It was missing two ball bearings inside so I cleaned it up replaced the cotter pin and ball bearings but still the same but I’ll just keep it engaged

Your picture is missing the spring that goes in that mechanism. Do you have the spring? If not that might be your problem.
