What to do? 3 Cimatti City Bikes

A buddy of mine has a total of 3 City Bikes that he may plan on repairing for sale. A cursory glance at the V1 motors tell me that 2 of the 3 have 20 mph cylinders, while one does not. One bike is missing a foot rest and that is probably the more difficult part to find. Since they are desirable bikes and a lot of buyers may want to kit these, I'm suggesting he get all 3 running and let the buyers decide what to do later, rather than spend money on better cylinders, piston, and rings that will get swapped out anyway.

Thoughts?

Who says they're desirable bikes, nobody ever seems to want them lol

A running city bike in absolute perfect shape is worth like $400-500 in Ohio. Don't spend money on them, you won't get it back out (edited)

Re: What to do? 3 Cimatti City Bikes

Desirable or not , a stock bike will almost always out sell any that have been altered .

Re: What to do? 3 Cimatti City Bikes

Re: What to do? 3 Cimatti City Bikes

what ever happened with the city bikes?

Re: What to do? 3 Cimatti City Bikes

I think they are going to be winter projects. They run a shop that sells large lawn equipment. The county fair is Labor Day weekend and they set up for that. December through February are slow periods, so they will work on mopeds at that time.
