So Im planning to replace my bad points on my 76 maxi, i currently had a solder condensor and I dont know the points since I cant see them yet but if i bought a screw type condensor and wired points would it still work on my maxi?

The screw on style condensers are crap. Get yourself a cheap soldering iron and some solder from Walmart and solder the wire to a conventional style condenser.

This. And I only recommend genuine Bosch points and condenser for your Puch.

And , your old Ford or Chevy or John Deere or ...
Bosch is best . ;)
Yes i have been trying to find some bosch points but nobody seems to have them in stock or at all, i have a good solder set up already but where can i buy the good points?
Treats sells them
treatland.tv
so if im doing a solder set up would i get the points with or without wire, obviously the solder style condensor
Grab the one with the wire. Or you will need to re-use the old one you have. They have a special hook on one end to go into the points mech.
Personally I have not had issues with the screw top condenser from treats. And there are ways of running an external condenser by running your points wire up out of the stator.
