I have a bicycle shop out of my home (I am 70 years old and retired) and someone brought me a 1980 Honda PA50 with a flat front tire that they wanted fixed. I replaced the tube, but am now having trouble reconnecting the brake cable. I am also concerned that the spring on the cable end was on the wrong side of the cable stop on the brake drum. Can someone post a photo of the correct setup and give me some direction in how to get the cable reattached? Thanks!
PA50 front brake cable questions
Re: PA50 front brake cable questions
the spring helps pull the pads off the drum. it pushes on the lever.

Thanks, that is how I assumed it should be, but when I received the moped the spring was on the opposite side so it was pushing the cable housing not the brake arm.
I still need help on getting the cable reattached. (edited)
Re: PA50 front brake cable questions
Thanks for the photos you young whippersnapper. That is how I figured it should be assembled. Now to see if I can get it together.
