So I'm trying to fit an 80cc Athena on a Sachs Yardman.
I modified the tank and need to seal it up.
What's the best way to repair?
JB weld judging by the number of bikes with JB welded tanks I get

They must all have used a different JB Weld than I ever used . I've never had it hold for more than a few days before it turns to mush when used near gasoline .
What kind of repair needs to be done ? Just that seam ? If so , have it welded or solder it . (edited)
I'm thinking a tig guy would do the trick

Tig would be what I would suggest. You could also mig that pretty easy.
Ya, fuck the dumb shit, metal repairs deserve metal not bondo or epoxy.

Looks like you just ground down the seam. Have you tried putting liquid in it to see if you don’t need to address it?
Oh yeah. Leaks like crazy.
Soldered it back up. Report back when it leaks
Bexane epoxy used by the Navy on subs. Or ceramic based epoxies sold by Grainger's not cheap but works!
Thanks Chris! Appreciate the input
