1979 Motobecane carburetor replacement

Brian Stephens /

I just put in 15.15 AV7 SHA carburetor In my 1979 Moby. Probably a silly

question but it is reviving. Loosened the throttle cable a bit. Was wondering could the choke cable also be to tight? Maybe throttle cable stilL to tight? Thank you for any advice.

Was wondering about the main jets? I started with a 58 ran great changed it to a 60 ran the same? Is it supposed to change much between jet sizes?

You really need to tune it. You risk running too lean and seizing your motor. Here's some info: https://www.mopedarmy.com/wiki/Plug_chop

Great thanks I will.

For a completely stock AV7 you should have 58-62 jet, depending on the original configuration of the engine and if you have changed out the restrictive stock intake for a 15mm intake.
