Hole in seat cover

Jareed Goodman /

First Post!

I have a leather Garelli seat on my Puch Magnum with two pin sized holes that make my butt all wet after riding for even a little bit. Not a great look---

I know it's from them cause when I push down real hard, water seeps out.

Anyway, if anyone has had this same problem I'm wondering if there's a quick sealant or glue you'd recommend to close it up.

Many thanks,

Jared

Re: Hole in seat cover

Before you seal it, you need to get it totally dry. That wet foam it rotting your seat pan into dust.

Sorry I don’t have tons of patch advise. Put a bag over it so it doesn’t get wet in the rain when you can’t park it somewhere sheltered.

Re: Hole in seat cover

you might take that seat to a car upholstery shop or a motorcycle re upholster shop and have them totally redo it ,just a thought, I got my moped seat redone came out perfect

^ This, once it is dry, if it is really leather, check out a leather shop, sure they can tell you how to seal it, but dry it out first.
