Absolute n00b when it comes to the fz50, I bought it without knowing anything about it from a customer of mine.
It's been off the road since 1991 and not started since at lease 2010.
The kick start arm has about 120 degrees of travel when the brake lever is not pulled and it doesn't spring back. When the brake lever is pulled the kick start is solid.
I've had the cover off and there isn't any rust or corrosion that I can see. The motor also spins as freely as it should.
So any ideas why the kick start lever is solid once the brake lever is pulled?
I have a Haynes manual and have done the Google but can't find anything!
Anyway thanks in advance!
