1977 malaguti clutch cable routing question

Steven Lowman /

hey guys:

it appears that the clutch cable run down through the frame and takes a left turn so it can pull the clutch lever in towards the bike. here are a couple of pics ......is there some sort of guide that is threaded on the frame to keep the cable in place?? and how do you adjust the tension on the cable. ???? 2nd photo is of frame upside down with bottom view or does the cable route differently

thank you Steve

Re: 1977 malaguti clutch cable routing question

Do you have any cable knarps?

Might make it easier if you don’t want to make a lead end

If the cable has an end you could go backwards but usually I just use a Knarp

I believe auto stores call them cable stops

Usually I order a bunch from treats that never fit and end up at the auto store for them

You may also be able to use a cable adjuster with a nut on it where it goes in thru the frame
