MOPED ARMY

First post. Hi! Anyway, got my QT50 running after ~20 years of it not running. When I was in college it got stolen, beat to shit, thrown in a ditch, recovered by the police, and has sat in my garage non-op since so it's kind of a big deal that I can ride it down the street now. That said, I need an air filter. The factory air box is broken and not attached to the carb. I've seen a lot of people remove it in favor of something else. Just wondering what that something else is? Thanks
