Set screw for Motobecane cady twist grip throttle

Looking for the small set screw to keep the twist grip of a 1976 cady moped on. I have tried the moped junkyard.com but they do not have stock.

Regular screws are 32 thread where this one appears to be 28 thread count. Please see the pictures for specifics. Would like to find at least 2

That part is most likely metric. It looks like M6x1.00. But in any case the hardware store down the street from me has never failed to have the metric or imperial sized screw that I've needed. You could make one of those in about an hour.

I wrote one hour to project a sense of confidence to the OP. For me it's really going to take more like three hours.

Ha. Same reason I said 15 minutes . ;)

I'll admit it might take me as much as 20 minutes , maybe even 30 . Every project always seems to take twice as long as planned . LOL

And , I would think , with a bit of thought , a guy could make that set screw just about any size they wanted , within reason .

Ha . That's nothing a little Dawn couldn't make look like a pair of model hands . ;)
